BALANCE’s Major Goal since its founding in 1974 has been, and is, to achieve U.S. Population Stabilization to protect the Environment.
But population stabilization efforts have been stymied, despite the native-born population's small family size, by immigration. Since 1970, an increasing proportion of the US’s population growth has been the result of Mass Legal and Illegal Immigration and the offspring of these more recent immigrants. At this time, approximately 90% of annual population growth comes from the immigrant sector.
FACT: The Pressure to Migrate to the USA is increasing.
Indeed, given frightening Demographic Trends in Africa, India, China and the Middle East, the pressure to come to the USA will exponentially increase. Only BALANCE and its ASAP Coalition Allies have the Real Solution outlined below.
The growing Population Pressure in these Countries will increasingly devastate the carrying capacity of their own environments—greatly decreasing their capacity to grow sufficient food or dispose of Waste from their exploding populations. Social Chaos, famine, and death rates will increase in these countries, as long-time Population Stabilization Activist Frosty Wooldridge documents in his recent series, “The Deadliest Birthrates Affecting All of Humanity.”
We therefore excerpt from Wooldridge’s analyses of Africa, India and China, and then present BALANCE’s Real Solution for the USA.
“...As immigration, both legal and illegal, continues flooding into the United States of America—it also pours into Canada, Australia and Europe. Note that all Western countries stabilized their populations since 1970 by averaging 2.1 children or less per female.
“Unfortunately, as first world countries created stable and sustainable societies since 1970, their leaders chose unending immigration from overloaded third world countries. For the United States, the late Senator Teddy Kennedy created the 1965 Immigration Reform Act that added 100 million people to America by October of 2006. If continued, that same act expects to add another 100 million people within 34 years. Where do those immigrants originate? Answer: the third world that adds 80 million, net gain, annually [emphasis added].
“Unknown to most countries and people living on this planet, an accelerating birthrate in Africa threatens all Western civilizations in the 21st century. At 1.1 billion in 2016, Africa screams toward 2.1 billion by 2050 and 4 billion by the end of this century (Source: ‘Africa’s Population Projections’ by United Nations 2016).
“As an example, the average Burundian woman births 6.3 children, double the international fertility rate. Burundians expect to jump from 10 million to 20 million in a few decades. Egypt, currently 85 million, expects to reach 105 million by 2030. Ethiopia, at 98 million, expects to double to 210 million by 2060 (Source: UN ‘Africa’s Population Projections’).
“Ironically, Egypt imports most of its food to feed its current population in 2016. As the human race adds 1 billion more people, net gain, every 12 years, Africa expects to quadruple its population within 85 years. Africans grow so fast; they cannot water, feed, house, educate or sustain the expected 4 billion people about to land on that continent.
“What does it mean? It means that every living creature featuring feathers, hooves, claws, fins or fur that lives in Africa will become food for the human mob. It means relentless extinction of rhinos, lions, gazelles, wildebeest, giraffes and elephants—and, well, just about any creature that breathes….”
And BALANCE notes, the Environmental Cost of Mass Immigration-generated Population Growth in the USA likewise takes a severe Environmental toll—the extinction of many species including Beautiful Butterflies and Birds. Indeed, for every person added to the USA’s Environment, one acre of Farmland or Wildlife Habitat is converted to developed uses (Pimental et al, Cornell University).
“Question: what will humans do once the planet faces another added three billion people by 2050—a scant 34 years from now? They will need to be watered, fed, housed, warmed and sustained in a finite world with finite resources? If you think the flood of 1,000,000 (million) refugees knocking on Europe’s door today spells disaster for the civilized West, what do you think any Western country faces in the next 84 years when Africa hits four billion desperate people?...
“According to www.cis.org with research by Dr. Steven Camarota, the illegal alien flow jumped back to 500,000 illegal alien border crossers in 2014-2015. In other words, the line never ends as Mexico remains on course to add another 20 to 30 million people by mid-century.
“One look at Minneapolis, Minnesota shows 105,000 African Somalian legal refugees now overwhelming welfare services across that city. Yet, Somalia at 11.1 million in 2016, expects to reach 13.1 million within six years by 2020.…
“Question to ask yourself and your kids: what is the point of endless immigration from Somalia in 2016 when that country, along with the rest of Africa, refuses to solve its own birth rates? What’s the point of adding more of their people to our country so we become like their country?…”
Indeed, Research by Dr. Anne Brittain indicates that liberal U.S. Immigration Policies drive up Fertility Rates in sending countries—just what they do not need.
Wooldridge’s analyses of India and then China continue
“Part 2: India expects to jump from 1.252 billion to 1.55 billion within 34 years. It adds 16 million, net gain, annually. Today, Indians flood into America with chain migration and added birth rates. Indians do not believe in birth control. Their human misery index explodes off the charts.
“Let’s take a look at what ramifications we face from immigration from India.
“In 1960, India reached 500,000,000 (million) people. Today, driven by multiple ancient religions that prohibit birth control, India suffers every kind of social and environmental consequence known to humanity with its 1.252 billion people. Even more catastrophic, it adds 16 million more people, net gain, annually.
“India’s major river, the Ganges, which I once rafted, flows into the ocean with the most polluted, toxic and contaminated waters known to humankind. It features trillions of gallons of untreated sewage, industrial waste, hundreds of chemicals and millions of pieces of plastics—that flow into the ocean 24/7. That watery, chemicalized conveyer belt creates a 20,000 square mile dead zone at the mouth of the Ganges. Once it hits the Indian Ocean, those contaminated waters spread all over the planet—poisoning marine life, avian life, reefs, the ocean floor and cause deadly acidification throughout the planet.
“Of note, the USA, China and India dump the most plastics into the world’s oceans….
“Within India, hundreds of millions of people lack a toilet. Therefore, they defecate-urinate on the land daily….
“You can only imagine that India cannot support jobs, classrooms and housing for that many people added annually. Yet, not one word about population stabilization from India’s leaders. At one point, Indira Gandhi attempted to bring birth control to India when I visited in 1984, but she failed because of religious-cultural norms that overpowered reasoned thinking….
“As can be imagined, because of adding that 16 million more people annually, India’s wilderness suffers encroachment via roads, housing, mining, lumbering and other development. Animal extinction rates soar in India. The Bengal Tiger and the Snow Leopard will not survive in the wilds within several decades. Elephants face an uncertain future. Birds of all kinds face extinction from loss of habitat. Fish and plants vanish as Indians invade and demolish habitat….
“Today, millions of Indians clamor for visas to move to the USA and Canada. The rich ones buy their way into America. Some Indians discovered how to gain loans to buy all the motels across America. They continue accelerated chain-migration with that niche.
“By 2050, a scant 34 years from now, India expects to out-populate China to reach 1.55 billion people. As it stands, they lack the ‘arable land’ to grow enough food. They clearly lack clean water as they dry up their ground water supplies.…
“When India starts facing hunger crises via lack of arable land, lack of rainfall, and growing ‘catastrophic climate destabilization’ with its 1.252 billion people—we’re all in trouble.
“No amount of immigration solves anything for Indians. No amount of international aid will help them. Why? Because they keep growing human numbers beyond any solutions.
“Part 3: China expects to jump from 1.35 billion to 1.5 billion by 2050. It faces horrific environmental consequences today. Ironically, even with 1 child per woman birth policy, China continues adding 8 million annually via “population momentum”.
BALANCE Note: And even if the USA were to achieve both Replacement Level Fertility and Replacement Level Immigration, it would continue to grow for years due to Population Momentum.
“As a naïve, youthful world bicycle traveler back in 1984, I toured through China when it opened up to international visitors. You can imagine my joy—fulfilling my teenage dream to walk on the Great Wall of China.
“But what really impacted me: wall-to-wall people. Every piece of land bloomed with crops. Every nook and cranny filled with people. They jammed every city. They overflowed every sector of that ancient land. Their plight stunned me. Today, they drive down 50 lane freeways and breathe toxic air along with horrifically polluted rivers like the Yangtze. That one visit changed my life by changing my perceptions concerning the end result of too many people….
“All the while, humans add another 80 million, net gain, of themselves to this planet, annually. Even with one child per woman birthrates in China for over 35 years, because of “population momentum” (so many women birthing one child), China adds 8,000,000 (million) annually.
“While China continues its human numbers explosion, it degrades its quality of life and standard of living to levels beyond our understanding. China forges toward endless concrete jungles for cities, vanishing wilderness that creates severe animal extinction rates and a complete breakdown of ecology as to air, water and soil.
“It constructs one new coal-fired electrical plant every week of the year. It adds 27,000,000 (million) new cars, net gain, annually according to an NBC Nightly News report with Lester Holt. It offers 50 lanes one way of traffic. It suffers under toxic air pollution so severe that lung cancer rates explode in big cities like Shanghai and Beijing….
“If the energy crisis doesn’t impact China, potable water shortages most certainly will:
“By 2020 the water issue affects 30-40% of the world
“‘It's a huge problem that the electricity sector do not even realize how much water they actually consume. And together with the fact that we do not have unlimited water resources, it could lead to a serious crisis if nobody acts on it soon,’ says Professor Benjamin Sovacool from Aarhus University.
“When you include the agricultural sector with vanishing ground water, a ‘Perfect Storm’ builds throughout China and India.
“As to China’s rivers, they run in raw sewage, hundreds if not thousands of chemicals and more toxic waste than anyone comprehends. The Yangtze River dumps trillions of gallons of lethal waste into the oceans 24/7. It features an astounding 20,000 square mile ‘dead zone’ at its mouth. That means all vertebrate marine creatures cannot live within those toxic waters. Dozens of such poisoned rivers flow into the ocean from China. Nonetheless, those toxic waters flow around the world to poison marine habitats everywhere….
“But the Chinese show exceptional intelligence in escaping to first world countries. Today, Chinese immigrants take over Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. They buy land and buildings. Chinese dictate to the Canadians as they take over schools and local governments. They chain-migrate their families into Canada. …They also continue massive chain-migration into America. Chinese money buys farmlands in Asia and in South America. China’s people compete to move to Canada, Australia, Europe and America. They even feature ‘birth tourism’ websites to secure ‘American citizenship’ by their women birthing a child over here.
“Part 4: Recipient nations of population overload: United States, Canada, Europe and Australia. No one escapes this human juggernaut. Those added 3 billion people onto this planet within the next 34 years will invade first world countries. Let’s take a look at what that means for the West.
“How did the first three parts of this series affect you? Did you understand the enormity of what humanity faces in the next 30 years? How about the rest of the plant and animal life on this planet? What about your children? What about the oceans? What about quality of life?
“Are you astounded that the mainstream media suppresses this demographic issue at all costs?...
“Yes, the media reports every consequence of overpopulation as to worldwide hunger, water shortages, species extinctions, wars for resources and catastrophic climate destabilization. But no one, not one world leader addresses or attempts to speak up on what we face….no one will escape the ramifications of the next added 3,000,000,000 (billion) people to this globe. No one will escape the implications of adding 138,000,000 (million) more people to America within 34 years. You may expect those consequences to invade your state, your community and your family.
“Remember this: third world citizens will not stop their birth rates significantly enough to stop overloading their countries. Therefore, they will contribute to the 3.0 billion added, hungry and desperate refugees looking for a country to land.
“In 2016, the United Nations estimates that 60,000,000 (million) refugees lack water, food, energy and homes, and look toward first world countries to migrate. Their numbers will grow to 150,000,000 to as high as 200,000,000 (million) refugees by 2050—a scant 34 years from now.
“What Western Countries Face With Refugee Armada
“Canada houses 36,000,000 (million) people in 2016. Because of mass immigration, they expect 41.1 million by 2050. To give you an idea of Canada’s dilemma, let’s look at the numbers. We know Canada as a ‘big’ little country. That means it’s ‘big’ but lacks ample arable land to grow crops. While it’s citizens chose 2.0 birth rates [below replacement level] since 1970, its leaders forced massive immigration onto Canada. It faces food shortages, environmental breakdown, accelerating carbon footprint damage, species extinctions and lowered quality of life….
“As you can imagine, immigration solves nothing. It stalls the inevitable for every Western country: ultimate collapse from overloading carrying capacity of every receiving country.”

Note especially that, since approximately 2000, MORE than 100% of all new jobs were captured by immigrants. The number of employed Americans was actually down, despite the increase in total employment!!

While the fertility rates of native-born American women are now below 2, Immigrant fertility rates are much, much higher for nearly every Immigrant group. Thus the USA’s demographic track is projected to be One Billion by 2075 (see BALANCE' website, balance.org ).

1) THE ONLY SOLUTION: A Zero-Net All-Inclusive, i.e., including “Refugees” and “Aslyees”, MORATORIUM on Legal Immigration: this would still allow 100,000 to 150,000 thousand Immigrants to obtain legal residence annually. That number — still large — compares with an estimated 1.5 million or more aliens now admitted legally to the USA annually, in addition to the uncertain number of illegal aliens. A Zero-Net Moratorium is Essential not only because of the extraordinary costs to Taxpayers saddled with providing Billions of Dollars’ worth of “Free” benefits to most of the legal immigrants and illegal aliens, but also to protect our Natural Environment from Degradation and unsustainable resource use. Drastically Reduce or eliminate H1b and related programs that bring workers and their families into the U.S., taking more American jobs and further depressing wages, and increasing Green House Gas Emissions.
Thus the Reps. Brat (R-VA) and Hice (R-GA) Bill, H.R. 604, which would end Chain Migration and augment Enforcement, is definitely a step in the Right Direction, as is the Refugee Program Restoration Act (HR4731-Goodlatt R-VA) which would reduce the refugee cap to 60,000 annually, but we really do need a Moratorium!
BALANCE supports other excellent Bills as well:
S.2266 Grassley (R-Iowa) Durbin (D-Ill) would prohibit replacement of American Workers by H1B or L-1 Visa Holders and prohibit more H1b visas if more than 50% of their workers are already on these Visas. And the “Protection of Children” Act (S.2561 — Sessions R-Ala and Johnson R-Wisc) would return children to their families in their Home Countries, but pushing a Moratorium is priority #1.
2) No More Amnesties or Sanctuary Cities: Amnesties reward Illegal Behavior with increasingly Tragic Consequences. “Sanctuary City” laws are de facto Amnesties and should be defunded and outlawed. Support “Mobilizing Against Sanctuary Cities Act”, H.R. 3002 – Rep. Barletta (R-PA) and “Enforce the Law for Sanctuary Cities Act”, H.R. 3309 – Rep. Hunter (R-CA) and H.R. 1148 – Gowdy (R-SC) which would empower local law enforcement to enforce Federal Immigration laws, as well as companion bills in the Senate authored by Senators Toomey and Cruz. Were it not for Sanctuary City laws and Open Borders policies, those many victims murdered or injured by Illegal Aliens in San Francisco, San Antonio, Las Vegas, New Jersey, Arizona, Laredo, Texas and elsewhere might be alive and well today.
For those who say it is already “too late” to save America, we respond that, UNLESS WE ACT NOW the Situation will become Worse, MUCH WORSE. IF we do not succeed, a “Third World Hell Hole” is surely in our Future. The Paris and San Bernadino Massacres are a Warning!
3) Enforce Immigration Laws — Secure the Borders: Existing laws relating to Legal Immigration and Border Security are not being enforced, primarily because of the Obama Administration's Unconstitutional Executive Orders, including tying the hands of our Border Patrol, as Arizona Sheriff Babeu has documented.
4) No Citizenship for the US-born Offspring of Illegal Aliens or Visitors: “Birth Tourism” has become a flourishing Industry in the USA, and, understandably so, since babies born in the USA are deemed (based on a judicial misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment) to be Citizens. As Citizens, they can bring their parents and other relatives into the USA as permanent legal residents — on average, seventeen relatives per Anchor Baby — eligible for Citizenship, as well as Billions in “free” Medical Care, Education, Welfare payments, Food Stamps and other taxpayer funded benefits.
5) STOP the TPP and TTIP TRADE DEALS! The TPP would not only require “free movement of persons” among member nations (of which Mexico is one), but also establish an International Commission which could Negate/Override the power of the USA to set its own immigration policy. As well, Service Providing Companies in ANY of the Member Nations could send into the USA unlimited numbers of their service providing personnel to compete with American workers, thus depressing American workers wages and eliminating many of their jobs. The Job-Killing TPP and TTIP must be stopped!
The ONLY Solution to keeping the Mass Immigration-generated Crises from getting much, much worse is to push the Administration and Congress to enact a Zero-Net MORATORIUM on Legal Immigration and seal the Borders to stop Illegal Immigration. Eisenhower Administration policies showed that many illegal aliens self-deport when authorities get tougher, as President Eisenhower did when he deported nearly 2 Million Illegals in the 1950s. Thus the claim that Mass Deportation or Mass Legalization are the only options is a false narrative. And we must push NOW so that we can generate increasing support for Bills to be enacted ASAP, but realistically no later than when a New President is in office in the Spring, 2017.
From a Political-Strategic Perspective, pushing a Zero-Net Moratorium is the ONLY WAY to delegitimize the whole Policy of Mass Immigration. Also, pushing a Moratorium is Essential to maximize Political Pressure to get some Reductions at least. BALANCE’s Moratorium Push MAXIMIZES Political Pressure NOW and thus is the most efficient use of our Activists’ time and money.
Refusing to push a Moratorium (as certain Inside-the-Beltway and other Mass Immigration [de facto] Management Groups do), is a Recipe for Failure as the past three decades have shown, since that is merely Defensive, as well as Ineffective.
Such a Refusal is, indeed, Counterproductive — merely pushing for “immigration reform,” legitimizes the continuation of Mass Immigration because it sends the message that Mass Immigration is OK if we just tweak it a little bit. And it is even worse to push for “Controlled Immigration for the National Interest” or for the two-decades old Jordan Commission Recommendation that Immigration be cut by a third, because that sends the message that Mass Immigration IS in the National Interest. Pushing to merely cut Mass Immigration by a third or a half is a failed Political, Demographic, and Security Strategy.
And a cut by a third or even a half does NOT put the USA on the path to Sustainability. Rather, it just delays the Inevitable Disintegration and Degradation for a very few years. As well, being merely Defensive increases the chances of passage of Bad Bills, e.g., Illegal Alien Amnesties, and the Issuance of Unconstitutional Executive Orders.
Pushing a Zero-Net Moratorium is key as an objective because it is reasonable and Essential for long-term Environmental and Personal Protection and for providing Sufficient Resources, INCLUDING WATER and FOOD and Money, for survival. Today, we are in the process of exceeding our long-term Carrying Capacity. We must Reverse Course NOW!
In sum, a Zero-Net Moratorium is The Necessary Condition for achieving U.S. Population Stabilization, long term Environmental Protection, Budgetary Solvency in State and Local Government (especially for our Health Care and Educational Institutions), Tax Reduction, Unemployment Reduction, Social and Cultural Cohesion and Personal Safety… and for protection of our Food and Water Supplies!
Mass Immigration is thus NOT “Just about the Numbers” as one Management Group claims. WE ARE FACING A MANY-MONTHS-LONG SERIES OF BATTLES ON THESE ISSUES, extending well into 2017. So PLEASE Help BALANCE Intensify our push for a Zero-Net Moratorium and the other Victory Initiative Positions!
Certain Well-Funded Cheap Labor Advocates on the Right, and Ethnic Power and Government Benefits Recipients on the Left, are pushing hard for further implementation of President Obama's Mass Illegal Alien Amnesty, AND FOR MASSIVE INCREASES IN LEGAL IMMIGRATION, including Refugees and Asylees!
