NEW AMNESTY BILL WOULD LIKELY :

*TRIPLE LEGAL IMMIGRATION,

*AMNESTY 25 MILLION PLUS ILLEGALS AND THEIR FAMILIES,

*STRICTLY CONTROL IMMIGRATION ON MEXICO’S SOUTHERN BORDER WHILE ALL BUT IGNORING OURS!

H.R. 1645–The STRIVE Act of 2007 is a Mass Alien Amnesty:

This Bill offers a path to legalization for all the 25 million plus illegals -- workers AND their families -- in the USA. The main requirements are that each applicant has to "touchback" in any country for a day, and then may return to the U.S. permanently with his or her family, provided he has not committed "three crimes or more".

Here is a cynic speaking, but the "touchback" requirement would soon, probably, be interpreted to mean visiting a consulate of one’s choice. Mexican consulates are located in most U.S. metropolitan areas.

Also, the Bill includes a NEW Permanent "Guestworker" Program:

Under this plan, 400,000 "New" Workers would be admitted ANNUALLY, and the 400,000 cap could increase. Moreover, these New Workers could straightaway be put on a path to becoming citizens!

This Bill would also DOUBLE Employment based VISAS:

As if the above provisions of this Bill weren’t enough, the new H-2C Visa provisions of the Bill would raise the cap on employment Visas from 140,000/yr. to 290,000/yr. The CURRENT levels of Employment Visas already Depress Wages for American Workers by approximately $290 Billion annually, according to Harvard Professor (and first generation immigrant) Dr. George Borjas.

Potential TWO TRILLION DOLLAR Cost:

Robert Rector (of the Heritage Foundation) recently published a study on the present and potential costs of Low-Skill Immigration. Rector cites the National Academy of Sciences’ figure that each immigrant without a high school degree will cost U.S. taxpayers, on average, $89,000 over the course of his or her lifetime.

Rector concludes. "In this way, the roughly six million legal immigrants without a high school diploma will impose a net cost of around a half_trillion dollars on U.S. taxpayers over their lifetimes. The roughly five million illegal immigrants without a high school diploma will cost taxpayers somewhat less because illegal immigrants are eligible for fewer government benefits. However, if these illegal immigrants were granted amnesty and citizenship... they could cost taxpayers an additional half_trillion dollars. In total, all immigrants without a high school education could impose a net cost on U.S. taxpayers of around one trillion dollars or more. If the cost of educating the immigrants’ children is included, that figure could reach two trillion dollars."

It could be worse than Rector estimates. He obviously accepts the Census Bureau estimate that only 12 million illegal aliens are in the United States. And why are just 5 million (of this 12 million) thought to lack a high school education? The same study he cites for the $89,000 cost to taxpayers over a life-time also found that the average immigrant from Mexico and Central America has less than an eighth-grade education!!! Go figure. It is clear that the dependence on welfare and other social safety net programs will be proportionately greater.

Now back to Rector. He concludes that the average low skilled household in the United States receives "$22,449 more in government services than it pays in taxes... for a total NET burden on U.S. Taxpayers of $483 billion per year."

"This number would go up substantially if changes in immigration policy lead to substantial increases in the number of low-skill immigrants entering the country and receiving services."

Of course virtually all of the 25 Million Immigrants slated to be Amnestied in this Bill are low-skilled.

But the Bill doesn’t stop with Amnesty!

Pro-North American Union Provisions in the Bill include: Implementation of a plan to establish a NAU Security Perimeter at MEXICO’S SOUTHERN BORDER!

The defense perimeter is NOT to be at the United States border with Mexico...but at the southern border of Mexico!

The plan to meld the United States, Canada, and Mexico in the mold of the European Union is being implemented, – including land acquisition for a North-South super-highway and a Mexican port in Kansas City – but with your help we can stop it.

BALANCE and its ASAP Coaltion Allies stopped the Amnesty bill in the last Session, and we can stop it again with your help!

- Write, Fax, and call your Representative and Senators and tell them that you oppose H.R. 1645–The STRIVE Act of 2007. Tell them that you will not accept any Amnesty. Furthermore, demand a 5-year Zero-Net-Immigration MORATORIUM.

- PUSHING FOR A MORATORIUM is the most effective way to fight against an Amnesty because it puts downward pressure on the numbers and calls the whole enterprise of mass immigration into question.

- Pushing for a moratorium also defeats the open borders argument that "the solution to the illegal alien problem is to legalize them".

- And tell your Representatives you Oppose the North American Union.

- Remember, fax from your home or office faxes because mass faxes may be blocked by software which has apparently been installed in Congressional Offices to block faxes from the same or associated numbers.

- Congressional Switchboard: (202) 224_3121 or 888_355_3588
