POPULATION-ENVIRONMENT BALANCE ACTION ALERT
Imminent illegal alien amnesty threat
Bush, Vicente Fox, and Congressional leaders readying a push for
amnesty of millions of illegal aliens, while American unemployment
is at a record high and the pink-slips keep coming.
Alert: This amnesty will likely be disguised as "migratory
agreement", "regularization", section 245(i) extension
or attached to a guestworker bill.
The immigration numbers have not slowed in the face of record 6%
unemployment, a 40% poverty level in immigrant households, or even
by new national security measures.
Thanks to this annual 2 million legal and illegal immigrant flow,
U.S. population keeps growing even as state and local budgets max-out,
hospitals go bankrupt, and millions of citizens are left out in
the cold.
Our challenge: Defeat population-expanding, resource-depleting,
and wage-depressing 245(i) and other amnesties COLD!
The best defense against an illegal alien amnesty is a strong
offense.
BALANCE pushes the best offense in an immigration moratorium (similar
to the 107th Congress's H.R. 2712). A five year moratorium on all
legal immigration in excess of 100,000 a year (the highest number
that would ever allow the population of the United States to eventually
stabilize) is the best legislation for reducing immigration. It
is necessary to achieve immigration reduction now in order to protect
the environment over the long term by putting the U.S. on the road
for population stabilization.
BALANCE and our activists' insistence on a moratorium is the most
effective stance to face down amnesties, and stop the self-serving
Open Borders Lobby in their tracks.
So let's leave the Open Borders Lobby out in the cold:
ACT NOW!
1. Mail and fax letters, e-mail, and call the White House, your
U.S. Senators and Congressional Representative and tell them YOU
WILL NOT SUPPORT A 245(i) AMNESTY, OR ANY OTHER AMNESTY. Urge them
to kill any "migratory agreements" or "regularization"
proposals.
2. Ask your Senators and Representative to cosponsor an immigration
moratorium on all legal immigration in excess of 100,000 a year,
and in so doing creates great downward pressure on the numbers and
against amnesties at the same time.
3. Write letters to the editor against any pro-amnesty stance!
Let us know how your doing by sending us clippings or copies of
your published letters.
It is important to ask your representatives to support a moratorium
because its comprehensive character sends the inclusive messages:
The U.S.A. is full
We want no more bills, however named, increasing immigration
We want no more mass immigration
You will multiply your impact if you lobby for
a moratorium as well as against any and all amnesties.
