AMNESTY = EXPONENTIAL POPULATION GROWTH RECIPE
& the ASAP! Coalition’s SOLUTION
Well over 50% of the current 1.5 MILLION+ Annual LEGAL Immigration Flow comes from (currently legal) Chain Migration. Immigrants, “importing” other immigrants, “importing” other immigrants ad infinitum, all without any consideration of the impact of those numbers on the Environment, Infrastructure, Costs, Public Safety, Culture or the National Interest. And another chunk comes in via the currently legal Visa Lottery, which is blind to our National Interest.
Costs to U.S. Taxpayers alone are a staggering $330 BILLION per year NET (i.e., after subtracting Taxes immigrants pay) according to a study sponsored by our ASAP! Coalition Ally, Carrying Capacity Network, and conducted by eminent Economist, John Williams. That’s an average of $758 Million per year NET for each of the 435 Congressional Districts! (And $3.3 TRILLION NET for ten years!)
And let us not minimize the importance of our Public Safety Environment. The Boston Bombers, San Bernardino Shooters and New York City Truck Driver who ran down pedestrians and cyclists were all Legal Immigrant Chain Migration/Visa Lottery Beneficiaries.
So consider the likely consequences of a DACA Amnesty of those “Dreamers” brought here by their Illegal Alien parents (and now most are in their 20s and 30s). (And if Dreamers are Amnestied consider how many additional “others” here illegally or on TPS would “magically” apply as Dreamers!)
In 1986, the Amnesty of 350,000 turned into an Amnesty of 1.3 Million (i.e., a 4 to 1 ratio).
And under current law, the same thing (i.e., via the 4 to 1 multiplier) could happen again and then, be compounded by unending Chain Migration/Visa Lottery resulting in Millions upon Millions of New Immigrants, all with only one “qualification”—that they were “selected” by someone who already was an Amnestied Resident.
And, of course, that Mass prospective Immigration inflow would dramatically increase the $330 Billion Annual NET Cost paid by U.S. Taxpayers to support the 1.5 MILLION+ Annual LEGAL INFLOW.
But the ASAP! Coalition of which BALANCE is a Founding Member has a SOLUTION. Indeed, it is The ONLY SOLUTION.
Enact a Zero-Net all-categories-included MORATORIUM which would cap legal Immigration at 150,000 per year. (Indeed, to maximize chances that the imperfect RAISE Act or Rep Goodlatte’s Bill will Pass, you should push a MORATORIUM.)
IMMIGRATION POLICY FOR YEARS TO COME COULD WELL BE DECIDED BEFORE THE FEBRUARY 8 CONGRESSIONAL DEADLINE.
